Hero Marketer

LinkedIn Ads automation tool

Expensive LinkedIn clicks can't wait for Monday.

Today someone opens Campaign Manager each morning to see which campaign got expensive. This LinkedIn Ads automation tool lowers a campaign's daily budget when its cost per conversion climbs, by a rule you set and previewed on the last 30 days. Every change has a Revert.

How it works

From your rule to a budget that moves.

01

You choose

One number to watch, one move

Cost per conversion rising lowers a campaign’s daily budget. If your conversions carry a value, return on ad spend rising can raise it. You set the limit and the size, from 5% to 50%.

02

You preview

See the last 30 days first

Before you save, the preview shows how often the rule would have acted. Tick the box to confirm. The rule starts as soon as you save it.

03

It acts

Inside limits you cannot raise

Each morning it checks your campaigns. When your rule matches, it changes the budget, then waits 7 days before it touches that campaign again.

Safety limits

  • Up to 3 changes a day
  • 7 days between changes
  • Never below $1 a day
  • Up to 50% total per week

A ceiling it can't pass

04

You revert

One click puts the budget back

Every change lands in Automation history with a Revert. It sets the budget to what it was just before, and replaces any edit you made to it since.

What you get

Two moves, and nothing else without you.

A rule changes one thing on LinkedIn: a campaign's daily budget. The ready made automations stay on Google Ads.

01 / Lower

Lower a daily budget

When a campaign's cost per conversion rises above its own baseline, its daily budget drops by the size you set, from 5% to 50%.

02 / Raise

Raise a daily budget

When return on ad spend rises above its baseline, the daily budget goes up by the size you set. It needs a value on your conversions, set in Campaign Manager.

03 / Stays yours

Pauses and bids stay yours

A rule can't pause a campaign or change a bid. Hero AI stages those, and each runs after you click Approve and apply.

04 / Stays yours

Total budgets are left alone

A campaign with only a total budget has no daily budget, so a rule has nothing to change.

What comes next

A rule moves the budget.
Hero AI handles the rest.

A rule lowers a campaign's daily budget when cost per conversion climbs, and can raise it when return on ad spend does. That is all it does. Pausing a campaign, changing a bid or finding the cause goes to Hero AI, which changes nothing until you click Approve and apply.

Common questions

What to know before you switch on the LinkedIn Ads automation tool.

What can it change on LinkedIn?

It can only change a campaign's daily budget, and only by a rule you save. It can't pause a campaign, change a bid or edit an ad. For those, ask Hero AI, and each runs after you click Approve and apply.

Can I undo a budget change?

Yes. Every change has a Revert in Automation history. It puts the budget back to what it was just before that change, and that replaces any edit you made to the budget since.

Can a rule cut or raise a budget too far?

No. Each step is the size you set, from 5% to 50%. A rule waits 7 days before it changes the same campaign again, makes at most 3 changes a day, and moves a budget by 50% at most in a week. It never takes a daily budget below 1 in your account's currency.

Can I see what a rule would do before it runs?

Yes. Before you save, the preview shows how often the rule would have acted in the last 30 days. You tick a box to confirm, and from then on the rule runs on its own.

What do LinkedIn Ads automations cost?

Nothing per change, and nothing for the preview. Rules run in the daily checks, which cost 0.25 credits a day for each connected account (about $7.50 a month) and cover your alerts too. Credits come in $20 packs with no monthly fee, and unused credits are refundable within 90 days of purchase.

Our leads cost more this month. Is it Google or LinkedIn?

LinkedIn. Its cost per lead rose from $180 to $260, and 46% of its clicks came from people at entry level, who rarely become leads for you. Google held at $74 a conversion, so leave it alone.
