Hero Marketer

Facebook Ads monitoring tool

Don't find a spend spike on your card statement.

Ads Manager shows yesterday's spend only if you open it. This Facebook Ads monitoring tool opens it for you every morning, and flags a spike, a campaign with no results and a placement that spent for nothing. You find out the morning after, while you can still act.

Why it's different

Ads Manager shows what you spent, not whether it was normal.

Hero Marketer

Judges yesterday's spend against the same weekday's average

Shows yesterday and leaves you to compare it with other Tuesdays

Measures click through rate and cost per click on link clicks

Counts likes, comments and shares as clicks in Clicks (all)

Reads every placement for spend that brought no results

Leaves you to add the placement breakdown and read each row

Offers to block Audience Network, Marketplace or the right column on the whole ad account

Leaves you to find the setting and work out which campaigns it reaches

Placements

See the placement that spent for nothing.

With Advantage+ placements, Meta decides where your ads run, Audience Network included. Every morning Hero Marketer reads your placements over the last 14 days and alerts you when one spends without results.

For Audience Network, Facebook Marketplace and the right column, you can block it on the ad account in one approval. Undo removes only that placement. For any other placement, the alert gives you the path in Ads Manager.

Every morning

Yesterday against the usual

Yesterday's numbers are checked against what each campaign and each weekday normally do, in the account's own days. Late results get time to come in before cost per conversion is judged.

Quiet failures that burn spend before anyone looks.

  • Ad account connection broken

Meta refused access, or the connection was removed in Meta's business settings.

  • Conversion tracking stopped working

Two full days of spend with 0 conversions, when the week before looked normal. That points to the pixel or a conversion event, not weak ads.

  • Account spend spiking

Yesterday's spend was far above what the account spends on that weekday.

  • Campaign stopped serving

A live campaign got almost no impressions yesterday.

  • Placement spending without results

A placement spent for two weeks with no results, or cost far more per result than your Facebook and Instagram feeds.

  • Campaign spending without converting

A campaign that usually brings results spent for a week with none.

  • Campaign not spending its budget

A campaign with its own budget spent half of it or less, days in a row. Budgets set on ad sets aren't checked.

  • Click through rate dropping

A campaign's click through rate on link clicks fell well below its usual level last week.

  • Conversion rate dropping

Fewer link clicks turned into results last week than usual.

  • Cost per click spiking

What comes next

The alert says what broke.
Hero AI takes it from there.

Meta alerts judge finished days. There is no alert for a budget running out by midday, and none for edits made in Ads Manager. Learning, Learning limited, Seen often and Low quality show as badges on your Campaigns page, not as alerts.

Common questions

What to know before you try the Facebook Ads monitoring tool.

Is this better than checking Ads Manager myself?

Yes, for the checking. Hero Marketer reads yesterday every morning against each campaign's and each weekday's usual, and shows only what needs a look. You still decide what to change.

Will I just get spammed, or do the alerts adjust to my account?

They adjust. Most alerts are sized to each campaign's own numbers, with small dollar minimums so a small account doesn't alert on pennies. You change most limits in Alert settings, and you get at most 10 alert emails a day.

Will it change anything in my Meta ad account?

No, not without your approval. Hero AI can pause a campaign, ad set or ad, set a daily budget or bid, or block a placement on the whole ad account, but only after you click Approve and apply. An automation you set up can raise or lower a campaign's daily budget on its own, within caps.

I'm not a Meta Ads expert. What do I do when an alert fires?

Click Analyze with Hero AI. You get the cause and the next step from your live Meta data, usually in about three minutes. If Hero AI can make the change, you approve it in the same chat. If not, it tells you where to make it in Ads Manager.

What does Meta monitoring cost?

Connecting your account is free, and so is your first scan. Daily checks start when you first buy credits: 0.25 credits a day for each connected account, about $7.50 a month. Asking Hero AI about an alert is a normal question, usually 0.2 to 1.5 credits. Credits come in $20 packs with no monthly fee, and unused credits are refundable within 90 days of purchase.

Our leads cost more this month. Is it Google or LinkedIn?

LinkedIn. Its cost per lead rose from $180 to $260, and 46% of its clicks came from people at entry level, who rarely become leads for you. Google held at $74 a conversion, so leave it alone.
