The problem
Some fixes are not hard, they are just relentless. A wasting search term needs one negative keyword. A campaign with conversion value that keeps hitting its budget needs a small lift. None of it needs judgment. All of it needs someone to actually do it, every day, before the money is gone.
Why it's safe
Each guard stops a known way automated rules hurt an account, like pausing your brand keyword.
Each one stays off until you switch it on.
See what it would have done on your own data.
A limit on how many changes it makes a day.
A wait before it changes the same thing again.
It skips any keyword with your product name.
Blocks and pauses skip campaigns under 60 days.
Skips raises Google says won't add conversions.
Revert any action on its own, in any order.
What it can do
The list is short on purpose. An automation makes the cut only when its fix is easy to undo, needs little judgment and is worth real money. Everything else stays a recommendation for you to decide on.
When a search term in a Search campaign spends twice the campaign's cost per conversion without converting, it becomes an exact match negative. Only that search stops, and the ad group keeps running.
When a campaign that records conversion value loses 20% of its impressions to budget, its daily budget goes up 25%. Search campaigns on Smart Bidding are skipped.
Pauses a keyword that spends more than 50 in your account's currency in 7 days with no conversions, three days in a row. Keywords with your product name are skipped.
When a Search campaign's cost per conversion runs 30% below its own average, its Target CPA goes up 10%. Only campaigns already on Target CPA qualify.
When a Search campaign's return on ad spend runs 30% above its own average, its Target ROAS goes down 10%. Only campaigns already on Target ROAS qualify.
Set your own threshold on cost per conversion, ROAS or keyword wasted spend, and pick a budget change, a target change or a pause. Before you save, see how often it would have acted in the last 30 days. It runs as soon as you save it.
Versus Automated Rules
Automated Rules are free, flexible and built by the company you pay for every click. They do exactly what you tell them, nothing more.
Hero Marketer
Google Automated Rules
Most triggers follow each campaign's own averages
You set every condition and number yourself
Negatives and pauses skip campaigns under 60 days old
You decide which campaigns are too new to judge
Never blocks or pauses anything with your product name
You exclude brand keywords from each rule yourself
Skips raises Google's own forecast says add no conversions
You check the budget simulator yourself
Where it fits
The same checks that power Alerts feed Automations. An alert finds the problem. When the fix is safe and easy to undo, an automation you switched on makes it. When it needs judgment, one click hands the alert to Hero AI, which changes nothing until you click Approve and apply.
Common questions
Not if they contain your product name. Automations never block or pause a search term or keyword with your product's name in it. For blocked search terms, you can also list other brand or competitor terms to protect. Misspellings and variants aren't matched, so list those too.
Yes. Any change an automation made can be reverted in one click, on its own and in any order. Reverting a budget or target puts back the value from just before that change, which also replaces any later change you made to it.
Google covers bids with Smart Bidding and simple rules with Automated rules. Hero Marketer takes the fixes you keep meaning to make: it blocks wasted searches, pauses keywords that only spend, and lifts budgets that hold winners back. You preview each one first.
Yes: Smart Bidding, Automated rules, scripts and auto-applied recommendations. They do what you set, on the conditions you write. Hero Marketer adds the B2B SaaS judgment, so nothing gets blocked before a lead has had time to convert.
With Google's Automated Rules, you set every condition and number yourself, on the campaigns or keywords you pick. Hero Marketer's automations compare most signals with each campaign's own averages, never block or pause a keyword with your product name, and give a campaign 60 days before blocking or pausing anything in it. They also skip a budget raise when Google's own forecast shows no extra conversions, on campaigns where Google has one.
Nothing per action, and nothing for the preview. Automations run in the daily checks, which cost 0.25 credits a day for each connected account (about $7.50 a month) and cover your alerts too. Credits come in $20 packs with no monthly fee, and unused credits are refundable within 90 days of purchase.
