This Privacy Policy describes how Hero Marketer ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website at www.heromarketer.io and our AI powered Google Ads management platform. Hero Marketer is operated by John Selvinraj, a sole proprietorship based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

We collect personal information you give us directly, for example when you:

• Create an account
• Subscribe to a plan
• Contact support or fill in a form on our website
• Sign up for our newsletter

This information can include:

• Name and email address
• Company name and role
• Phone number, if you choose to share it
• Billing information, which is collected and stored by our payment processor (see Section 5)

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website or use the platform, we automatically collect technical information such as:

• IP address
• Browser and device information
• Pages viewed and basic usage patterns
• Cookies and similar identifiers

2.3 Information From Connected Services

When you connect your Google Ads account, we receive information from Google about your ad accounts, campaigns, ad copy, and performance metrics. We only request the scopes we need to operate the features you use.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the platform
• Manage your account and subscription
• Generate ad copy, recommendations, and analytics for your campaigns
• Respond when you contact us
• Send service updates and, with your consent, marketing emails
• Detect and prevent abuse and keep the service secure
• Meet our legal and tax obligations

4. Google Ads Integration

As a Google Ads management platform, we:

• Connect to your Google Ads account through Google OAuth.
• Request the minimum set of scopes required to manage the campaigns you ask us to manage.
• Store the access and refresh tokens needed to call the Google Ads API on your behalf.
• Handle data received from Google in line with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can revoke our access to your Google Ads account at any time through your Google account settings. Doing so will stop our platform from managing those campaigns.

5. Service Providers and Sub Processors

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we use to operate Hero Marketer, with authorities when the law requires it, and with a buyer or successor in the event of a business transfer.

The main service providers we rely on today are:

• Supabase for authentication and primary database storage.
• Cloudflare for hosting, edge compute, and content delivery.
• Paddle for payment processing, invoicing, and tax handling. Paddle acts as our merchant of record. Your billing information is collected and stored by Paddle.
• Anthropic for AI features that use the Claude API, including ad copy generation and campaign recommendations.
• Google for the Google Ads API (campaign management) and the Gemini API (AI features).

6. Use of AI Services

Several features of Hero Marketer use third party AI services to generate ad copy, recommend optimizations, and analyze your campaigns. The two AI services we currently use are Anthropic's Claude API and Google's Gemini API, both on paid commercial plans.

• Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, your prompts and the model's responses are not used to train Anthropic's models, and API logs are retained for a short period (currently 7 days) for safety and operational purposes.
• Under Google's paid Gemini API terms, your prompts and responses are not used to improve Google's products, and Google retains them for a limited period for abuse monitoring and security.
• We do not train our own AI models on your content.

If either provider changes its API terms in a way that affects this, we will update this policy.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

• Encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest for stored data
• Authentication and access controls on our admin systems
• Periodic reviews of our security setup

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever experience a security incident that affects your personal information, we will notify you in line with applicable law.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. The rights we honor for all users are:

• Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correct information that is wrong or out of date
• Ask us to delete your information
• Export your campaign data in a usable format
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by writing to us
• Withdraw consent where we are relying on consent to process your information

To make any of these requests, email [email protected] from the address on your account, or include enough detail for us to confirm your identity. We will respond as quickly as we reasonably can.

Local laws in your country or state may give you additional rights. If they do, we will honor them on request.

9. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to:

• Keep you signed in
• Remember your preferences
• Understand how the site is used so we can improve it

Most browsers let you block or clear cookies through their settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of the site may not work.

10. Children's Privacy

Hero Marketer is built for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly market to or collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to [email protected] and we will delete it.

11. International Data Transfers

Hero Marketer is operated from India, and the service providers we use (Supabase, Cloudflare, Paddle, Anthropic, Google) operate from various countries. By using the service, you understand that your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We pick providers that offer appropriate protections for international data transfers.

12. Retention

We keep your personal information for as long as we need it to:

• Provide the service to you
• Meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations
• Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements

If you cancel your subscription, your account data may remain in our systems for up to 30 days so you can reactivate without losing your work, after which we will delete or anonymize it. You can ask for earlier deletion or a data export by writing to [email protected].

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. If a change is significant, we will let you know by email or a notice in the product.
